The shortest honest threshold session in the library: 14 minutes accumulated at FTP, which is the least sustained-threshold work that still delivers the stimulus rather than a token of it. Same protocol family as threshold-2x10 — Ronnestad et al. (2025, Eur J Sport Sci 25:e70067, doi:10.1002/ejsc.70067) found a block of ~90% FTP / ~3mM intervals improved 15-min power (+4.9%) and power at 4mM (+4.5%) more than a matched HIT block in 22 well-trained cyclists — rendered at the lowest volume a 25-minute window allows. Rep intensity follows the library's rep-length curve (reps of 8 min or less sit at 100% FTP). The warmup is compressed to 7 minutes with a single primer; that is the trade a short window forces, not a coaching preference. No trial of this exact duration is cited.
