A descending-ladder ARRANGEMENT of the studied long-interval VO2 family: reps shorten 5-4-3-2-1 minutes while intensity climbs 106-110-114-117-120% FTP, holding each rep near its sustainable ceiling — 15 work-minutes in the severe domain, the same total as the studied 4x4 shape at a different distribution. Descending ladders are a long-standing coaching arrangement; no direct trial of this exact arrangement is cited. Evidence base for the underlying long-interval work: see vo2-4x4 (Helgerud et al. 2007).
